Multi-Events to Open 2025 NEICAAA Indoor Championships

Boston (March 4) –The multi-eventers will open the two days of competition this Friday and

Saturday at the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Indoor Track & Field Championships at the

Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center and the Bob McIntyre Track. This is the 56th edition of the men’s championships and the 47th for the women.


The women’s 5-event pentathlon gets underway at 10:00 am on Friday with the finals in 60-meter hurdles. This is followed at 10:15 am with the finals of the men’s 60m hurdles in the seven-event, two-dayheptathlon. Competition in the women’s pole vault, weight throw and the 400m begin at 11:30 am. Saturday’scompetition begins at 10:00 am with the finals in the men’s heptathlon 60m hurdles. This will be followed by theheptathlon pole vault and 1000m run. Open event competition on Saturday begins at 10:15 am with the semi-finals in the men’s 60m hurdles. Alternating event finals, with the women preceding the men, will take place onSaturday.

The men’s and women’s two-day competition features a combined 42 events during the championships. The contested events are as follows:


60m (meters), 200m, 400m, 500m, 800m, 1000m, 1-mile, 3000m, 5000m, 60m hurdles, 4x400mR (Relay), 4x800mR, Distance Medley Relay, high

jump, pole vault, long jump, triple jump, shot put, weight throw, heptathlon (men), pentathlon (women)

TIME SCHEDULE: Friday 10:00 AM Women’s Pentathlon, start 60m hurdles

Saturday: 10:00 AM Men’s Heptathlon, start 60m hurdles


MEDIA NOTES:

A small working area will be available to credentialed members of the media at the track. Results and team scores will be available in hardcopy and email following the conclusion of the meeting. Media outlets planning to attend should make contact with Larry Newman, media relations, as noted above. For those media organizations not attending, if you want results sent directly to your news outlet, please advise the press liaison in advance. A complete listing of all athletes and teams will be sent out prior to the championships. Additional press releases will be sent later, and in the days leading to the championships.
