AMHERST, Mass. – Director of Athletics Don Faulstick announced Tuesday that Hannah Chappell-Dick has been named the head coach of the Amherst College men's and women's cross country program.
Chappell-Dick joins Amherst from Brown University, where she was promoted to head coach of the women's cross country program in February after joining the Brown cross country/track & field coaching staff in June of 2021.
"I am thrilled for the opportunity to lead the Amherst men and women as they work towards excellence within the NESCAC and the NCAA," Chappell-Dick said. "(Assistant) Coach (Veronica) Rocco has done a fantastic job of providing solid ground for the team to stand on during this transition. Thank you to Don Faulstick, Coach (Steve) Rubin, and the others on the search committee for your trust in me with this exceptional group of young people."
"Together, we will work to empower the student-athletes to reach the high goals that they have set for themselves. I am already so inspired by the student-athletes' dedication, determination, and joy in the pursuit."
